The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District is seeking a skilled and experienced medical professional to fill the role of Visiting Medical Officer in Emergency Medicine.

Key Responsibilities- Provide emergency medical care to patients, utilizing clinical knowledge and skills to diagnose and treat complex conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Possess or be eligible for full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Possess Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or equivalent specialist recognition as provided for by the Health Insurance Act 1997 and / or demonstrated at least 5 years' experience in delivering and managing emergency care.
- Sound clinical knowledge in Emergency Medicine demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position including evidence of participation in quality assurance activities relevant to the specialty.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision consistent with contemporary best practice supervision standards.
