Job Title: Kutjungka Health Centre Coordinator

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and vibrant community setting, leading a multidisciplinary team and coordinating external health service providers to provide a quality and comprehensive primary health care service to the community.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management, staff supervision and coordination of health service delivery at the health centre. This includes managing the operational budget, workforce requirements and completing clinical audits and reporting activities related to clinical practice and improved patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team and coordinate external health service providers to deliver high-quality primary health care services.
  • Undertake operational management and staff supervision, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of health services.
  • Manage the operational budget and ensure financial sustainability.
  • Coordinate workforce requirements, including recruitment, orientation and professional development.
  • Complete clinical audits and reporting activities to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Registered Nurse qualification with current AHPRA registration.
  • Previous experience working in remote Aboriginal communities or Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in staff supervision and operational management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal people.
  • A strong understanding of cultural safety principles and practices.
