Key Responsibilities- Day-to-Day Maintenance Activities: Participate in and undertake routine maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance of our plant machinery, buildings, and services.
- Breakdown and Emergency Response: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and responsible manner, conforming to statutory requirements, regulations, and company policies.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular and programmed maintenance of plant machinery, buildings, and services to prevent equipment failure and ensure optimal performance.
- Tool Management: Maintain a clean and organized tool inventory, ensuring that all tools are properly stored and accounted for.
- Repair and Replacement of Equipment: Repair and replace production machinery parts as needed, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Stock Control and Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of consumables and spare parts, ensuring that stock levels are adequate to meet maintenance needs.
- General Maintenance and Housekeeping: Perform general maintenance tasks, including cleaning and housekeeping, to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade): Hold a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or equivalent qualification.
- Industrial Maintenance Experience: Possess a minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in an industrial, production, or facility maintenance environment.
- Technical Aptitude and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Physical Fitness and Health: Be physically fit and healthy, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork and Communication Skills: Possess excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
- Food Hygiene and Handling Knowledge: Have a sound understanding of food hygiene and handling concepts, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Problem Identification and Solution Skills: Demonstrate good problem identification and solution skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Plant and Production Hygiene Knowledge: Possess a sound understanding of plant and production hygiene requirements, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Fabrication Welding Experience: Possess experience in fabrication welding, with the ability to perform complex welding tasks.
- High-Speed Production and Packaging Equipment Experience: Have experience working on high-speed production and packaging equipment, boilers, and water treatment plants.
- Forklift Truck Operation License: Hold a valid forklift truck operation license (LF) and/or electrical license.
