Electrical Engineering Manager

**Job Overview**We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering professional to join our team as an Infrastructure Engineering Manager - Electrical. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to shape the future of a major new site, establish new functions, influence industry standards, and collaborate with top engineering and project management teams.
**Key Responsibilities:*** Establish electrical engineering design, construction, and operational standards, providing technical and functional leadership.* Arrange design certification reviews with the Chief Engineer.* Develop and maintain technical specifications, procedures, and guidelines.* Review and approve electrical engineering drawings, calculations, and models.* Monitor project designs and construction for compliance with standards.* Conduct design and engineering reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.* Provide technical support for resolving non-conformance issues.* Act as the expert for complex engineering challenges within the discipline.* Provide technical guidance during design, construction, and commissioning.* Support decision-making with expertise on electrical engineering methodologies.* Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.* Collaborate with project managers, designers, and contractors to maintain technical integrity.* Assist in risk assessments and mitigation strategies.* Participate in technical evaluations of vendors, materials, and equipment.* Ensure design and construction compliance with standards and codes.* Champion Safety in Design to meet operational and maintenance requirements.* Support value management activities to maximize operational benefits.* Establish an engineering assurance function for the shipbuilder.* Provide SME input to support all facilities, ensuring a safe, legal, and compliant site.
**Requirements:**To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Significant electrical engineering experience, especially in building infrastructure and site installations.* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical engineering or a related field.* Eligibility for Chartered Engineer accreditation with Engineers Australia.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Security clearance or eligibility for Negative Vetting Level 1 and ITAR clearance.
