Role Overview

Star HR is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Granite Belt region of QLD. This rewarding role involves working in an educational setting with students with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to identify students' motor skills and educational needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized therapy plans to address specific objectives and challenges.
  • Deliver direct therapy services, both individually and in group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
  • Provide training and support to school staff and parents on strategies to support students' needs.
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy interventions as necessary.

Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with disabilities, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
