Expert Health and Safety Advisor Role

We are seeking a dedicated expert to provide technical guidance on health and safety matters, management system advice, and practical support to leaders and staff across the business unit.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted advisor on all health and safety related matters, providing guidance and support to leaders and employees.
  • Foster a health and safety leadership culture within the business unit, focused on delivering positive outcomes.
  • Support delivery and implementation of the health and safety strategy, ensuring performance objectives/outcomes are achieved within agreed timeframes.
  • Work closely with leaders, contract managers and employees to ensure understanding and adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate professional and timely investigation of incidents, using ICAM methodology or equivalent.
Requirements:
  • Practical experience in workplace health and safety or OHS related roles.
  • A formal work health and safety qualification (Diploma or Degree qualified in relevant discipline).
  • Training in ICAM or equivalent investigation methodology.
  • Strong skills/experience in risk assessment and site safety management plan verification.
  • Conduct of WHS/OHS management system audits, within the past 2 years.
  • Ability to obtain a Defence Security clearance.
