**General Farm Worker Role Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated farm worker to perform various tasks on our poultry farm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment where dust and the smell of livestock is present.
  • Comfortable working with live and deceased birds; all animals must be handled gently and compassionately.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities as requested from the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Assist with setting up sheds for bird reception.
  • Grade eggs and complete relevant paperwork according to established procedures.
  • Catch and load birds safely, mindful of bird welfare during depletion.
  • Contribute to the cleanout and disinfection of sheds.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Comfortable working in a livestock environment.
  • No respiratory issues or allergies.
  • Physically fit and able to perform labor-intensive duties.
  • Able to follow strict biosecurity protocols.

Benefits Package:

  • $21.86 per hour + (Pastoral Award - Level 1).
  • A 1-year contract with an average minimum of 38 hours per week.
