Perth Airport is Australia's Western Hub connecting the people, businesses and communities of Western Australia with the rest of Australia and the world.

The airport plays a significant role in providing economic, social and cultural benefits to West Australians. It operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the year.

A multi-billion dollar investment will see new infrastructure built to support airline partners, offering more services to new destinations and an improved customer experience.

Over the coming decade, the airport will expand T1 International, build new domestic terminal facilities, a parallel runway, two multi-storey carparks and its first airport hotel.

This will deliver one airport for the people of Western Australia, hosting all flight services in a central location and giving passengers a seamless travel experience.

The Perth Airport estate spans over 2100 hectares and has developed a portfolio of industrial premises and vacant land holdings.

The team are currently seeking a highly experienced and passionate Contracts & Commercial Manager for Perth's New Runway project.

Key responsibilities include spearheading contract management and commercial practices within the Planning and Projects team.

Collaborating closely with various business departments, the ideal candidate will craft project contracting strategies that ensure optimal commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities encompass guiding and supporting the selection, preparation, negotiation, execution, administration and close-out of contracts.

Additionally, the successful candidate will monitor and ensure commercial viability, manage risk exposure and provide effective dispute resolution advice.

Mentoring and developing the commercial team will be a key aspect, whilst fostering professional growth and capability.

Contributions will be pivotal in driving the best commercial outcomes on Perth's New Runway project.

About You:

  • Possess a qualification in Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
  • Bring a minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial and contract management within a project or construction-based industry.
  • Exhibit proficiency in negotiating and strategizing successful commercial outcomes.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of various contracting and procurement models for infrastructure project delivery.
  • Showcase excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Maintain a professional approach to project/contracts management and team engagement.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team player, working proactively and collaboratively with others.
  • Possess a strong understanding of change management principles and practices.
