About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead our Infrastructure Drainage team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative and effective policies, strategies, plans, and practices for the management of the City's civil infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring the delivery of high-quality infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and community groups.
  • Oversee the development, prioritization, and handover of civil infrastructure work for translation into the City's future works program.
  • Manage the financial monitoring and reporting of the units Capital Works program, including the preparation and development of business cases and financial reports.
  • Lead the investigation, analysis, and selection of roads and drainage treatment options, ensuring service delivery is optimized.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, enabling certification as a Registered Professional Engineer.
  • Extensive experience in Civil Engineering at a senior level, including several years in the field of road and drainage engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience working with professional/technical staff, consultants, and contractors, managers, and stakeholders to resolve high-priority and complex matters.
  • Excellent communication skills, including influencing and negotiating, rapport building, and report writing.
  • Ability to analyze complex and significant road and drainage issues and think laterally to come up with innovative and efficient solutions.
