Meals on Wheels Officer

This is a dynamic position within our Australia Red Cross Meals on Wheels program in TAS. As a Meals on Wheels Officer, you will work closely with a small local staff team, engage with volunteers, and collaborate with remote team members in similar services in other states.

• Pack meals and re-stock freezers
• Provide a welcoming and supporting environment to volunteers
• Interact with clients to take orders or assist them connect with other services
• Manage and update rosters
• Put through orders to suppliers
• Maintain accurate record keeping
• Provide remote support to counterparts in Tasmania

• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a calm and cooperative spirit

• Ability to support and coach volunteers
• Demonstrated ability to think outside the box to resolve volunteer and client concerns

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award – Level 3. Salary from $73,823.36 FTE + superannuation + salary packaging.
