Job Description
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant in the Infectious Diseases team, you will provide expert clinical advice on all matters related to infectious diseases as reportable under the NSW Public Health Act 2010. You will be responsible for ensuring adherence with communicable diseases control guidelines and providing leadership within the team.
This role involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver specialist consultant services relating to communicable diseases. You will also be responsible for initiating and utilising findings of research in the provision of clinical services, contributing to the development and delivery of education programs, and providing high-level support to outbreak management.
You will work closely with other service providers across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of clinical leadership skills, effective communication and inter-personal skills, and knowledge of the practice development framework.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Current authority to practice as a registered nurse
- Minimum 5 years full-time equivalent postgraduate qualification experience with at least 3 years full-time equivalent experience in the specialty field
- Proven clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework
