Job Summary

The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist - Sustainability Leader will play a critical role in driving our sustainability agenda and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and stakeholders.



Salary Range:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.



About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced HSE professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable practices across our operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.



The key responsibilities of this role include:




  • Developing and implementing sustainable practices across our operations, including reducing waste, conserving resources, and minimizing environmental impacts.


  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to HSE, including OH&S legislation and ISO standards.


  • Promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization, including providing training and awareness programs for employees.


  • Conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.


  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate HSE risks, and to develop and implement strategies for improving HSE performance.


  • Providing expert advice and guidance on HSE matters to employees and management.


  • Preparing and submitting reports on HSE performance, including incident investigations and corrective actions.




Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • A Diploma in HSE education or equivalent qualification.


  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar HSE role, preferably in the energy sector.


  • Strong knowledge of OH&S legislation and ISO standards.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
