About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Australian Psychological Society Limited. As a Provisional Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to work with individuals who face great challenges through unemployment, providing quality therapy and intervention to help them get 'job ready'.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based, practical, and tailored interventions for individuals or groups from teens to older adults
  • Provide vocational intervention to increase a jobseeker's work readiness, underpinned by work-focused CBT
  • Manage your own calendar to meet client expectations and workload
  • Conduct mini-mental health training sessions onsite for employment services staff
  • Liaise with local health professionals and services as required
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your key referrers/customers
  • Regional travel and FIFO opportunities available

About You

We are looking for a candidate who is naturally compassionate, conscientious, flexible, and has exceptional communication and time management skills. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multi and transdisciplinary allied health team.

Requirements:

  • Approved Psychology degree
  • General/Provisional or eligibility for provisional registration with AHPR
  • Experience working with individuals with a disability
  • Passion for helping and assisting a diverse range of clients
  • Evidence of completion of the NDIS mandatory orientation module
  • High levels of verbal and written communication skills
  • Satisfactory criminal record and working with children check (or state equivalent)
  • Working with vulnerable people check (or state equivalent)
  • Valid Australian Drivers License and access to own vehicle

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working in a clinical setting with individuals who have a disability
  • Clear understanding of the NDIS framework, funding, services, support categories and procedures
