Chief Archival Preservation Specialist

The Archives and Preservation team plays a pivotal role in managing CSIRO's permanent research and enterprise collections. These collections include physical and digital materials that showcase the organization's historical significance.
You will be working under the supervision of the Lead and collaborating with staff to ensure the preservation and accessibility of these collections for future generations.
This involves providing expert advice and support to client groups and business units on retention, preservation, storage, and disposal. You will also be responsible for managing the National Records Centre, applying security and records access policies correctly, and developing innovative ways to expose archival records and engage with collections.
Additionally, you will assist in the development of policies and procedures for the storage and disposal of records, undertake complex discovery requests from both internal and external sources, and contribute to building a rich institutional history for CSIRO.
- Expertise in providing retention, preservation, storage, and disposal advice and support to client groups and business units.
