Early Childhood Education Specialist

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team at Happy Joy Early Child Care Centre.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of a quality education program that reflects the diverse nature of the centre, local and wider community, based on the curriculum frameworks. This includes planning, implementing and evaluating a high-quality educational curriculum, promoting the health and safety of all staff and children, building positive relationships with all stakeholders, and contributing to the effective management of the service.
Key Requirements:
- A working knowledge of EYLF and MTOP (where appropriate) is essential, as well as an ability to develop and implement a high-quality educational program that reflects the diverse nature of the centre, local and wider community, based on the curriculum frameworks.
- A working knowledge and understanding of the developmental needs of children aged 0-5, including children with additional needs, is also required.
- Experience in the education and care of children aged 0-5, as well as the ability to establish warm, nurturing and responsive relationships with children and sensitively meet their needs, is essential.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both with children and adults, are necessary for this role.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to work with families, children and educators in a culturally competent manner, as well as the ability to work cooperatively and flexibly within a team environment, are also key requirements.
- Knowledge of child protection procedures, organisational skills, and the ability to build partnerships with families are also highly valued.
- Salary range $60,000 - $80,000 per annum.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the coordinator.
- Working closely with the team.
- Being a member of the Teaching and Learning Committee.
- Preparing annual course reports as required by Directors.
- Monitoring children.
- Overseeing administration of student progress.
