Role Overview

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia is seeking a highly skilled Analyst to join its Commercial Banking team. As a key member of the Relationship Management team, you will be responsible for conducting research and analysis to assess client financial performance and industry insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex Commercial Property and/or Diversified transactions, handling a variety of responsibilities that extend beyond the basics.
  • Write, negotiate and manage credit applications for new and existing clients, undertaking due diligence, financial modelling and risk analysis.
  • Manage the portfolio's data quality, compliance and daily reporting requirements.
  • Undertake detailed analysis of client and industry-specific information focusing on key financial drivers to effectively meet client needs.
  • Identify, research and compile information on new to-bank prospects.
  • Complete credit submissions and annual reviews to ensure timely delivery of decisions, documentation and funding to the client and ensure accuracy of information on source systems.
  • Prepare pitch packs and discussion papers for new and existing clients.
  • Proactively manage the portfolio pipeline and financial reporting.
  • Support the Relationship Executive in understanding client needs, linking this insight to the client relationship strategy through research, analysis of market data and knowledge of our product offerings.
Requirements
  • Passion for financial analysis skills, including balance sheet and P&L interpretation and/or understanding of property transactions and cash flow modelling.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and critical stakeholders.
  • Critical Thinking and Ability to quickly grasp complex transactions.
  • Tertiary qualification.
