We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at SA Health, working in the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network, Community Health Service, Gawler/Barossa. As an Occupational Therapist, you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of health services to the local community.
Key Responsibilities- Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide a broad range of clinical and consultative OT services across various service settings and episode types.
- Conduct home safety assessments, short-term outpatient interventions, and equipment prescription and home modification recommendations.
- Apply primary health care and community participation principles to ensure occupational therapy services are responsive to changing community needs and improve health outcomes.
- Support consumers across the patient journey, providing effective assessment and triage, timely referrals, accurate information, coordinated care, and prompt follow-up.
- Work well within a multidisciplinary team setting and interact positively with all levels of departmental and organisational staff.
- Hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- Be capable of supporting consumers across the patient journey and providing effective assessment and triage.
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and families from a diverse range of backgrounds.
