Purpose Of The Role

This role is responsible for overseeing and/or assisting the operation of the warehouse by directing, coordinating and/or supporting the warehouse team activities.

Key Activities & Responsibilities
  • Supporting the warehouse team activities so that warehousing duties run effectively and smoothly to support our mission.
  • Assisting with receiving, moving, checking, sorting, packing, despatching and storing donated goods.
  • Conducting stocktake of goods as required.
  • Coordinating volunteers as required to assist with day-to-day running of warehouse activities.
Maintain a Safe and Healthy Environment
  • Reporting any health and safety concerns, notifiable incidents and near misses to Senior Team Leader and ensuring any hazards are controlled until rectified.
  • Completing hazard, incident and accident form when required in a timely manner.
  • All team members must be mindful of their own health and take care of the health and safety of others.
Requirements For The Position
  • Completing The Salvation Army (TSA) Mission Volunteer registration, induction and training.
  • TSA is a ChildSafe workplace.
  • Undertaking integrity checks as required for the role.
  • Holding necessary licences for the role eg forklift, maintaining a current drivers licence.
  • A reasonable level of fitness to meet the inherent requirements of the role.
