Role Overview

The Director of Operational Excellence will lead the delivery of key People & Culture process improvement projects at UNSW, overseeing and managing the development of critical People & Culture processes.

This role will drive a significant project to document all essential People & Culture processes, advancing People & Culture's process improvement agenda to balance process optimisation and HR operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will bring a practiced understanding of business process analysis, BPM governance, and continuous improvement in a large or complex organisation.

  • Lead People & Culture process improvement projects
  • Develop and manage critical People & Culture processes
  • Drive process documentation and automation initiatives
  • Partner with stakeholders to monitor and communicate project progress
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the People & Culture team at UNSW, contributing to the development of strategic plans and implementing improvements that enhance organisational efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements
  • Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Professional experience and project lead roles in BPM or equivalent leadership experience in business analysis in large and complex organisations
  • Extensive experience in establishing Business Analyst practices supporting the development of policies, methods, tools, and templates commonly used and followed by Business Analysts
  • High-level knowledge and competency in the use of professional business analysis techniques and methods (e.g. Use Case Analysis, UML)
