Medical Secretary Opportunity in Perth

As a Medical Secretary in our Specialist Nephrology Clinic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional patient care while maintaining a high level of administrative efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcoming patients and communicating effectively with them
  • Utilizing strong written and verbal communication skills to manage appointments, confirmations, and rescheduling
  • Maintaining accurate records through preparation, updating, and scanning of patient files
  • Coordinating theatre lists by scheduling and liaising with anaesthetists and hospital staff
  • Managing daily finances, including balancing and banking
  • Processing patient billing and handling payments using EFTPOS/Medicare online
Requirements:
  • A minimum of one year's experience as a specialist medical secretary is essential
  • Familiarity with MX Solutions software would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are crucial for success in this role
  • Possession of an accredited medical secretarial certificate would be highly regarded
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills are required
  • A professional presentation of the highest standard is expected
  • The ability to work diligently, honestly, and with integrity in a team environment or independently is paramount
