Teaching Careers and Vocation Education

This role offers a rewarding opportunity to play a vital part in shaping the minds of future generations. As a Teacher - Careers and Vocation Education, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that promote inquiry, debate, critical and creative thinking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop curriculum programs that foster career development across learning areas.
  • Use and create high-quality learning materials and digital resources to enhance student outcomes.
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress in line with policy and SCSA requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Strong commitment to embedding career development across learning areas.
  • Experience interpreting and using school and system-level data to inform practice; understanding of local career pathway options, employment trends, training providers and community agencies is highly desirable.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or Enhanced Skill Set is highly regarded; applicants without this qualification are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting.
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
