Norwest Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established nursing team in our Emergency Department.
The hospital has 277 beds and is a high acuity facility with an Emergency Department located in Sydney's Bella Vista. Our Emergency Department sees over 10,000 adult and paediatric presentations each year and participates in the NSW Ambulance Matrix system.
Our clinical team delivers quality patient outcomes by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, legislative requirements and Healthscope's policies and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence-based, person-centred patient care.
- Support professional practice by demonstrating adherence to AHPRA professional standards and legislative requirements.
- Foster a learning environment through clinical presentations and supervision to support the nursing team with their professional development.
- Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices.
- Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive high-quality care across the healthcare continuum.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in ED with strong clinical experience and knowledge in resuscitation, triage and team leader roles
- Post Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing or working towards
- Understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work within a team environment
- High level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills
