We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our dynamic team as a Family Clinician. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in supporting vulnerable families on the Central Coast.
The Whole Family Team provides intervention services to families where parental mental health and/or substance use poses a risk to child safety. Our goal is to empower parents to strengthen their parenting capacity and improve family functioning, ensuring children can remain safely within their family environment.
About You:
As a Family Clinician, you will bring your expertise and qualifications as a Nurse, Social Worker, Psychologist, Senior Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Counsellor. Your experience in mental health and/or drug and alcohol assessment and interventions is essential for success in this position.
You will be committed to delivering high-quality care and adopting a family-focused approach in your practice. This requires empathy, strong communication skills, and an unwavering dedication to improving outcomes for families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide intensive support to families at risk of harm, promoting positive change and enhancing family well-being.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive services that address the complex needs of families.
- Maintain accurate records and participate in regular case conferences to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in family therapy and intervention.
Requirements:
- Degree in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or related field.
- Relevant work experience in mental health and/or drug and alcohol intervention.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
