About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Canberra. This is an excellent opportunity to become a vital part of a collaborative and supportive team.

To be considered for this role, you will need a minimum of 5 years' proven experience working in a similar position.

Responsibilities

1. Work closely with stakeholders to determine user requirements and develop software solutions that meet their needs.
2. Design and maintain software systems using programming languages to support daily workflows, ensuring system stability and security.
3. Participate in rigorous code reviews to uphold high-quality code and integrate best practices.
4. Oversee the complete development life cycle of systems from requirement gathering, software designing to deployment, and testing.
5. Provide post-deployment support, including debugging issues, software improvement upgrades, and enhancing features based on user feedback.
6. Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including software architecture diagrams, module functionalities, and system usage guidelines.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and apply these advancements to existing and new projects to improve efficiency and user experience.

Desirable Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages, including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Ability to troubleshoot software issues and debug a large codebase.
• Excellent time management and proven track record working to deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new technology and go deep.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and excellent problem-solving skills.
