About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Canberra. This is an excellent opportunity to become a vital part of a collaborative and supportive team.
To be considered for this role, you will need a minimum of 5 years' proven experience working in a similar position.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with stakeholders to determine user requirements and develop software solutions that meet their needs.
- Design and maintain software systems using programming languages to support daily workflows, ensuring system stability and security.
- Participate in rigorous code reviews to uphold high-quality code and integrate best practices.
- Oversee the complete development life cycle of systems from requirement gathering, software designing to deployment, and testing.
- Provide post-deployment support, including debugging issues, software improvement upgrades, and enhancing features based on user feedback.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including software architecture diagrams, module functionalities, and system usage guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and apply these advancements to existing and new projects to improve efficiency and user experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages, including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to troubleshoot software issues and debug a large codebase.
- Excellent time management and proven track record working to deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new technology and go deep.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and excellent problem-solving skills.
