Senior Civil Engineer - Urban Development

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of our Community Development team, you will be responsible for overseeing the civil design and documentation of urban, land, and subdivision projects in both the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, coordinate, and project manage urban, land, and subdivision projects from feasibility through to construction
  • Prepare technical reports and specifications
  • Provide technical expertise to clients and support projects
  • Manage projects, including scheduling and preparing project budgets
  • Coordinate between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects
  • Prepare and review proposals, variation estimates, and submission documents
  • Contribute to the development of Stantec's knowledge and skills in civil engineering, including planning, design, and construction
  • Maintain existing and develop new relationships with key clients
  • Assist in securing and delivering projects through business development and client relationship management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering
  • Substantial experience in civil engineering design and project delivery, ideally in urban, land, and subdivisions
  • Experience and a sound understanding of current civil engineering technologies, including design, modeling, and construction
  • Project management skills
  • Business development skills, local industry knowledge, and connections in the market
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
