We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement and Contract Management Lead to join our Operations team in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST). This is an opportunity to lead a established Supply Chain team based in Perth CBD.
As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Subcontracts and Procurement teams and execution of specific aspects of supply chain management including procurement, subcontracts, negotiation and reporting of major procurement packages/subcontracts across deployed projects.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and guide subcontracting and supply chain specialists/associates.
- Understand client head contract requirements, including Wood responsibilities and integrate these into project supply chain strategies.
- Impart knowledge of commercial terms and conditions, interface with Wood legal/commercial experts, and initiate adaptations to reach robust commercial agreements.
- Regularly report progress of all Subcontracting and Procurement activities.
- Ensure team updates reports/systems with required information for accurate reporting.
- Escalate critical issues and risks to the Supply Chain Manager and project management.
You will bring to life Wood's three-pillar strategy of Inspired Culture, Delivery Excellence and Profitable Growth on the project. Leading by example, you will consistently display and enforce Wood values and behaviours, and commitment to the highest standards of safe and ethical behaviour.
Requirements- Full work rights to work in this Australian location.
- Degree or equivalent professional qualifications in Commerce, Law, Supply Chain/Logistics from a recognised institution.
- CIPS qualification (or an industry equivalent) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant supply chain experience.
- Demonstrated experience in industry best practices in Subcontract Agreements and Framework Agreements.
- Detailed knowledge of suppliers, commercial evaluations, negotiations and terms and conditions of purchase/contract.
- Proficiency in the use of ERP Systems (i.e. Maximo, Oracle, SAP).
- Commercially astute with a 'solutions mindset', skilled in the management of risk.
- Leadership experience with a capability to energise diverse teams to adopt best practices.
- Customer-focused with an ability to develop trusted relationships with stakeholders.
