Job Title: Graduate Paediatric Speech Pathologist

Windermere Child and Family Services is a leading not-for-profit organisation operating across South-East Victoria. Our services include Family Health & Wellbeing, Childhood Development, Education & Support, Early Intervention & Therapy Services, NDIS Support Coordination and Plan Management, Homelessness Support, Counselling Services, and Bushfire Recovery Support Services.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Paediatric Speech Pathologist to join our Early Intervention and Therapy Services team. As a Graduate Paediatric Speech Pathologist, you will play a pivotal role in providing support to children from 0-12 years old with complex disabilities and developmental delays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with families to assess needs and develop tailored intervention plans.
  • Utilise a coaching approach to facilitate family confidence in implementing strategies and supports.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support individual consumer caseloads.
  • Provide direct speech therapy support and strategies to children aged 7-12 years.
  • Participate in monthly graduate meetings for case study review, professional development, and peer support.
  • Engage in fortnightly supervisions/mentoring sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualified in Speech Pathology with current and ongoing registration with SPA.
  • Knowledge and experience in assessing children from 0-12 years old with various clinical and developmental needs.
  • Knowledge and skills in intervention and evaluation of services for children and families.
  • Ability to build trusting working relationships with children, families, and the Early Intervention and Therapy Service team.
  • Openness to continuous quality improvement and ongoing learning as part of a high-performing team.
