About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Adelaide Hills Community Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our community support services, you will work with clients to assist them in remaining living independently within their community.
Job Summary
This is an excellent opportunity to provide personal care to clients including showering, bathing, dermalux, toileting/continence management, stocking application, personal hygiene and all aspects of grooming. You will also undertake household support tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, polishing, washing floors, washing and ironing, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms/toilet areas, changing of bed linen and making beds, along with preparation and cooking of basic meals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to clients including showering, bathing, dermalux, toileting/continence management, stocking application, personal hygiene and all aspects of grooming.
- Undertake household support tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, polishing, washing floors, washing and ironing, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms/toilet areas, changing of bed linen and making beds.
- Prepare and cook basic meals for clients.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A current driver's licence and access to your own reliable transport.
- The ability to work autonomously in the community and demonstrate flexibility and conscientiousness.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
