Diagnostic Imaging Technician

The role of Ultrasound Specialist involves conducting a range of general ultrasound exams, including MSK, obstetrics and interventional imaging. This requires interacting with patients and interpreting request information to select the optimal protocol and adapt it to various clinical scenarios.

To be successful in this position, you will need post-graduate qualifications in ultrasound and current Registration with Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) as a Sonographer. You must also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work within a team.

Key responsibilities include providing a full range of general ultrasound exams, working within a team to allocate workloads according to skills and competencies, and participating in the department roster including on-call as required.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate evidence of ongoing personal CPD and contribution to supervision or development of others. They will also have experience applying legislation, regulations, policies and procedures to medical imaging and the day-to-day operation of an imaging modality to ensure sustainable, on-going service provision.
