Job Title

A successful News Producer will be responsible for creating engaging and accurate news content, working closely with reporters in the field to coordinate live crosses and ensuring all content meets legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write compelling copy and edit vision to create dynamic and informative news packages.
  • Create straps, supers, and other graphic elements using VIZ software.
  • Cut overlay, LVOs, and grabs using Quantel, and load into ENPS shelves.
  • Build news graphics to support coverage.
  • Liaise with reporters to coordinate live crosses.
  • Assist in the edit of field packages and assemble viz elements.
  • Write news lines for the on-air ticker.
  • Line produce rundowns from the control room as needed.
  • Evaluate content against legal requirements and ensure compliance with company policies.

Requirements:

  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Sound editorial judgment.
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Flexible work schedule, with a willingness to work early mornings, nights, and weekends as needed.
  • Experience with Quantel & ENPS software.
