Privacy Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Privacy Compliance Manager to join our team at carsales. As a key member of our compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement privacy policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with Australian privacy laws.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments and report on risks to ensure the company's compliance with privacy regulations.
- Support the implementation of a data scanning and consent management tool to ensure data protection.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and take corrective action when necessary.
- Support the legal team in investigating and responding to privacy incidents.
- Work closely with a group of Privacy Champions across the business to ensure a culture of privacy awareness.
- Stay up to date with privacy laws and regulations, including proposed Australian Privacy Act reforms.
- Demonstrated inclusive and interpersonal attributes that align with our company values.
- Strong experience in a privacy-focused role, with a sound knowledge of Australian privacy laws and regulations.
- Ability to create privacy training material and communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with data mapping tools or consent management platforms, international jurisdictions, and international privacy compliance and frameworks viewed favorably.
