Job Position

We are seeking highly skilled professionals to join our Fish Processing department in Melbourne, AU on a Full Time employment basis.

Fish processing involves the preparation of fish for human consumption by removing blood and viscera from the flesh, cleaning the skin, and cutting it into portions. It also involves packaging and distributing the processed fish products to consumers.

The role of a Fish Processor is crucial as it ensures that the fish products meet the required standards of quality, safety, and freshness.

Fish processors must possess excellent communication skills, be able to work in a team environment, and have good manual dexterity. They must also be able to follow instructions accurately and work under pressure.

Responsibilities:
  • Fish trimming, packaging, and distribution
  • Maintaining product quality and traceability throughout the process
  • Assisting with stock control duties
  • Practicing safe food handling techniques
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a wet cold environment with seafood or poultry or other meat
  • Fluent communication skills in English
  • Available to start work immediately
  • Capable of physically demanding duties

Previous experience receiving meat, poultry, or seafood will be looked upon favourably. Successful applicants will need to provide a minimum of 2 current references, a current police clearance certificate, and attend a pre-employment medical with drug & alcohol testing.
