Job Title: Legal Counsel

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our team, bringing expertise in energy law, regulatory compliance, and commercial transactions. As a key member of our Legal team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our business strategy and ensuring compliance with energy laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert legal advice on consumer protection, data privacy, and security, ensuring our operations align with energy laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with our technology and marketing teams to develop new products and initiatives that drive Australia's transition to renewable energy.
  • Draft and review commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with energy laws and regulations.
  • Engage with regulators, providing feedback on regulations and guidelines for a flexible, 2-way energy grid.
  • Develop and deliver training materials to up-skill our team on energy laws and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Laws and admission to practice in an Australian jurisdiction.
  • 1-3+ years of experience as a practicing lawyer, with expertise in energy law, regulatory compliance, or commercial transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
