We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a Classroom Educator in the Northern Territory Government's Department of Education. Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Learning: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs that meet the needs of our students and align with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and relevant curriculum policies.
- Student Support: Provide support to students through interaction in various settings and develop supportive learning environments and effective behavior management practices.
- Student Well-being: Ensure the physical, social, cultural, and emotional well-being and safety of students while at school.
- Assessment and Reporting: Regularly assess students for developmental, feedback, and reporting purposes, and maintain accurate student records and samples of work.
- Interpersonal Relationships: Establish and maintain positive relationships between the school, parents, and community.
- Registration and Qualifications: Hold or be able to obtain full Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory (TRB) and a current NT Working with Children Notice (Ochre Card).
- Working Visa: Possess a valid working Visa.
- Competitive Salary: Receive a competitive salary based on years of service, up to $120,742, and an attractive remuneration package, up to $141,465.
- Leave Entitlements: Enjoy 12 weeks leave (6 weeks recreation leave and 6 weeks stand-down leave per annum), 3 weeks personal leave per annum, and cultural leave.
- Flexible Working Arrangements: Take advantage of flexible working arrangements and guaranteed transfer to Darwin, Palmerston, Katherine, or Alice Springs after three years of employment.
- Remote Incentive Allowance: Receive a Remote Incentive Allowance, up to $10,348 per annum, dependant on single or dependants, paid fortnightly with salary.
- Remote Retention Payment: Receive a Remote Retention Payment, up to $1,000, paid after 40 weeks of continuous employment.
- Study Leave: Accrue study leave points, up to 5 points, and apply for special study leave, either one semester (full pay) or two semesters (half pay).
- Business Days: Access services not available in a remote locality, up to 4 business days per year.
