About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding role that will see you working on complex diagnostics and maintenance activities on mobile plant and equipment. You'll be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our autonomous trucks and other critical mobile fleet, and you'll work closely with our Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize tasks and manage resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct complex diagnostics and maintenance activities on mobile plant and equipment
- Work efficiently and effectively on plant and equipment such as autonomous trucks and other essential critical mobile fleet
- Follow specific maintenance programs and procedures, and carry out checks on equipment as required
- Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports, and drawings as required
- Be comfortable using computerized maintenance systems (SAP), including time confirmations, raising notifications, and closing work orders
- Take personal responsibility for helping the team achieve expected results, and take timely actions within the scope of ability without supervision
- Undertake training on a regular basis, and provide support and coaching to workmates within area of responsibility
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with rescheduling of work, organizing and coordinating resources, scoping of work, and determining priorities when required
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and assist in implementing new initiatives in a constructive way
About You
We're looking for an experienced Electrician with a strong background in heavy industry maintenance. You'll need to have a recognized Automotive Electrician Trade Qualification (Heavy Industry), a current Automotive Refrigerant Handling license, and a Forklift and High Risk Working license. You'll also need to have experience working on CAT Haul Trucks 793F Haul Trucks, and exposure to CAT Minestar Autonomous system. Experience with Cummins and Komatsu is also highly desirable.
