Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice Role

">About the Job">

This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your career in the heavy automotive industry as an apprentice heavy vehicle mechanic. You will work closely with experienced trade technicians and have access to modern workshop facilities, product-specific diagnostic tooling, and a generous tooling loan.

Earn while you learn and gain hands-on experience working on some of the best products the industry has to offer. You will be supported every step of the way throughout your 4-year apprenticeship journey.

Your Responsibilities">

As an apprentice heavy vehicle mechanic, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles
  • Assisting senior mechanics with complex jobs
  • Developing your skills and knowledge in mechanical aptitude and trade techniques

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong interest in the Heavy Automotive industry
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with an eagerness to learn a hands-on trade
  • A high level of self-motivation with a positive can-do attitude
  • The ability to use initiative and follow instructions
  • Reliable individuals who have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A minimum of Year 10 qualification
