Community Development Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Community Development Specialist to join our global team.

This role involves designing, executing and scaling initiatives that foster a thriving community, coordinating with teams and ensuring community processes are efficient and well-run.

The ideal candidate will help empower energetic and ambitious community members to bring their own vision into being, while aligning community efforts with organizational goals.

Key responsibilities include supporting community initiatives with technical and organizational skills, working closely with developers to smooth processes and integrating community plans with strategic objectives for maximum impact.

Additionally, the successful candidate will engage with volunteer developers in the community, helping them create successful tools and ensuring project sustainability.

A strong communicator, you will produce content and provide technical support to keep the community engaged and informed, including regular blog posts about initiatives, events and collaborations.

You will represent the organization in the wider ecosystem, communicating with developers and engineers to build relationships and drive partnerships forward.

Requirements:

  • Technical proficiency in open source software, Linux and sustainable community building
  • Ability to work remotely and collaborate with global teams
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Experience with community development and management
