About the RoleWe are seeking a values-driven Mental Health Professional to work towards reducing alcohol and other drug use related harm by delivering client-centred, high-quality, and safe AOD focused psychosocial counselling and support. You will provide early intervention and prevention modules to young people to reduce development and harm of problematic substance use. You will also improve the health, well-being, and social outcomes of clients by delivering comprehensive alcohol and other drug support interventions.
Duties- Provide individual and group psychosocial counselling and support for up to 60 young people aged 12-24.
- Deliver up to 210 psychoeducational modules to young people aged 12-24 (individual or group setting).
- Assess clients with a range of co-existing physical health, mental health, and social conditions.
- Facilitate regular contact and support for clients who are on a wait list.
- Minimum tertiary qualifications in Psychology, preferably Bachelor or Higher (similar discipline with experience considered).
- Previous experience in counselling and assessment with young people experiencing AOD.
- Valid NSW Working With Children's Check.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence.
- A National Police Check.
