Seeking Touch Rugby Referees for Inter-School Sports

Melbourne Sports Institute is recruiting experienced and passionate casual Touch Rugby referees for inter-school sports programs.

  • Inter-school games involve a wide range of proficiency, from Junior to Senior First teams.
  • Game times vary through the afternoon commencing at times such as 1:30pm, 2:30pm and 4:00pm.
  • Games are played Monday through to Saturday at various locations across Melbourne.

Referees may choose the most suitable locations and days that best fit their schedule. There is no fixed commitment to participate for the entire season.

Referees are paid per game and rates increase depending on experience, qualifications, and the level of the match.

  • Flexible working hours make this position ideal for individuals with busy schedules.
  • The largest number of client schools enables referees to:
    • Work throughout the entire school year.
    • Choose refereeing locations.
    • Work at various schools.
    • Work multiple days throughout the week.
    • Up to 10 hours of refereeing work per week.

Suitable applicants will possess the following:

  • Referee accreditation.
  • High-level communication skills.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
  • A current Working with Children Check.
