About the Role

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our shared living team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering people with disability to live a life of their choosing. You will work in a team environment and independently to provide a range of services, including assisting clients to live independently, be actively involved in their local community, and engaged in meaningful opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support clients to live as independently as possible by assisting with activities of daily living, including menu planning, cooking, and cleaning.
  • Provide personal care and support, including assistance with medication.
  • Support clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of person-centred programs.
  • Work to behaviour support plans by utilising positive behaviour strategies.
  • Communicate with families about clients' progress.
About You

We are looking for a passionate and energetic individual who is committed to making a difference in the lives of people with disability. You will be a positive and creative person who is able to engage, communicate, and build partnerships with people. Experience in the disability sector is desirable, but a willingness to learn is essential. You will demonstrate the ability to support others with personal and hygiene care and be happy to have this as part of your role.
