Job Title: Automotive Electrician

Are you a skilled professional seeking a challenging role in the mining industry? Thiess is currently hiring for an Automotive Electrician position, where you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy machinery equipment.

  • Service, repair, and maintain mobile mining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform general maintenance, breakdown repairs, component change-outs, and services on equipment such as hydraulic excavators and mobile crushing plants.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions to maximize equipment utilization.
  • Install, wire, and test electrical systems on heavy machinery equipment to meet high safety standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, applicants should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant post-trade experience in the mining industry, with a focus on heavy machinery equipment.
  • Knowledge of diagnostics and systems such as JDE, OEM systems, Cat, Cummins, Hitachi, Liebherr.
  • Ability to work safely and comply with site-specific safety protocols.
