The Opportunity

CSL, a leading global biotechnology company, is seeking a highly skilled EHS Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for leading, developing, reviewing, and implementing training, digital platforms, and EHS systems management to maintain organizational and regulatory compliance.

This role will involve partnering with business stakeholders to ensure CSL activities meet high standards for environmental, health, and safety management and to drive continuous improvement.

The Role

  • Oversight of EHS department systems, including internal and outsourced systems, KPI reporting, and EHS training programs, to foster a culture of continuous improvement in EHS systems management, ease of doing business, and process, policy, and procedure simplification.
  • Subject matter expert for EHS Contractor Management and play an important role in the development, implementation, and roll-out of a new contract management system, business partnering with CSL's value streams to capture all required data.
  • Business partner with CSL departments and facilitate and participate in incident investigation analysis and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Support the EHS group in improving their digital literacy, encourage rigorous system usage, and maintain oversight over digital systems.
  • Manage EHS training programs and oversee training courses, preparing for internal and external audits.
  • Manage the coordination of site communications and safety initiatives.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Degree in environmental or chemical engineering, chemistry, or other relevant engineering and science degree.
  • Experience working in an EHS team or having held roles with a large safety component.
  • Practical experience implementing or managing EHS systems, contractor management, and programs. Technical proficiency in digital platforms and system management.
  • Business partnering experience and the ability to bring a consultative, problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to intervene as needed and appropriate to address safety and environmental concerns.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
