Hospitality Operations Manager – Inner Eastern Suburbs

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Catering Manager to lead a Hospitality Team at one of Melbourne's prestigious colleges in the inner eastern suburbs.
As a key member of our team, you will utilise your leadership and strategic planning capabilities to drive continuous improvement across food quality and service standards, exceeding client expectations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of retail and event catering, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality services.
- Oversee all financial aspects of site, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting, to achieve and uphold budgetary and qualitative KPIs.
- Lead and encourage team members to develop their skills through performance planning and continuous training, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Collaborate closely with the Chef and other catering team members to ensure legislative compliance and standards are met, minimising risk and maximising business efficiency and outcomes.
- Explore and develop new revenue opportunities, driving business growth and innovation.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in a management role within the hospitality industry, demonstrating expertise in food service delivery.
- Outstanding client service focus, with superior communication ability and a customer-centric approach.
- Strong business and financial management skills, with a proven track record in managing budgets and resources.
- Proven experience in managing people and stress within a dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights and occasional weekends, as required by the role.
