The role of Able Seaman/Seafarer involves supporting the Master and Officers in their areas of responsibility, ensuring work is undertaken in a safe and competent manner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with sea service requirements and adhering to relevant regulations
- Assisting in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses
- Performing repairs and maintenance across the ship
- Loading, unloading, refuelling, and returning waste
- Managing mooring and casting off procedures for arrivals, departures, and bathing procedures
Requirements include:
- Able Seaman/Seafarer certificate (STCW II/4)
- Relevant industry experience
- Current AMSA medical
- Valid driver's licence
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
Effective teamwork and clear communication are essential in this role.
