We are seeking a skilled research analyst to join our team. This individual will be responsible for tracking and analyzing market trends in the seaborne metallurgical coal and coke industry.

About The Role

This role is critical to the coverage of a commodity that continues to be a pivotal raw material for steel making and energy transition. The successful candidate will thrive in the rigors of a daily deadline and will be part of a small but motivated group of researchers. They will also have opportunities to interface with and contribute to fundamental research within the global raw materials team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of supply and demand fundamentals in the seaborne metallurgical coal and coke market.
  • Report on metallurgical coal prices on a daily and weekly basis, developing a keen understanding of the drivers of pricing, including S&D, supply chain and the derivatives market.
  • Research and write breaking market news and in-depth analytical pieces that differentiate our content offering on metallurgical coal and coke.
  • Engage actively in business development, assisting growth initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent research and analytical skills, as well as strong communication and writing abilities. They should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a strong passion for the industry.
