Teaching Opportunities in the Northern Territory

We are seeking passionate primary teachers to join our team of dedicated professionals who make a real difference in the lives of students.

About Us:

  • The Department supports over 34,000 students across 153 government schools in the NT.
  • The communities we serve are rich in diversity, with 14,000+ Aboriginal students and nearly half of all students speaking a language other than English.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
  • Create inclusive classrooms that support student wellbeing and learning.
  • Use effective behaviour management and build positive relationships with students and families.
  • Assess, track and report on student progress.
  • Engage with families and communities as part of your teaching practice.
Requirements
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Teacher Registration Board NT.
  • Able to obtain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
  • If you completed your teacher education after July 2016: proof of LANTITE test completion required.

Relocation assistance is available to help you relocate to the Northern Territory.

  • Competitive salary range A$92,215 - A$131,349.
