Linux Kernel Developer - Silicon Expert

Canonical is seeking a highly skilled Linux Kernel Developer to join our team as a Silicon Expert. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and optimizing the Linux kernel for various system-on-chip (SoC) platforms.


  • Develop and maintain high-quality kernel code, ensuring optimal performance and stability on multiple hardware architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate silicon vendor support into the Ubuntu Linux kernel.
  • Work closely with silicon partners to resolve kernel-related issues and optimize kernel performance.

Requirements
  • Strong understanding of device drivers, bootloaders, and firmware.
  • Excellent C programming skills and experience with Linux kernel development.
  • Experience with git, version control systems, and Linux debugging tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on delivering results-oriented solutions.
