About this role:
The successful candidate will lead and support automation engineers in designing, implementing, and commissioning automated systems for a major infrastructure project. Key responsibilities include mentoring junior engineers, overseeing system design and development, leading on-site commissioning and cutover activities, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and performance are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership and Coordination: Lead the automation engineering team to ensure tasks align with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Mentoring and Training: Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance during commissioning and cutover activities to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • System Design and Implementation: Oversee the design and development of PLC/SCADA systems, ensuring they meet project requirements for efficiency and safety.
  • On-Site Commissioning and Cutover Support: Lead system commissioning and cutovers, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure and resolving issues during transitions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with project requirements.
  • System Support and Optimization: Provide ongoing technical support post-commissioning, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.
