The Rates Trading team within Global Markets seeks a trader to join their ranks. This role will be responsible for managing the Australian Government Bond (ACGB) trading book, while also having exposure to Sovereign and Semi-government securities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide pricing and solutions to clients and financial institutions across the Global Markets product set.
  • Gather and analyze market data.
  • Communicate relevant information to portfolio managers, analysts, and other traders.

A key responsibility will be to develop and maintain relationships with broker/dealers, manage spreadsheets, market data, and trading data, and achieve individual and team profit/loss targets while effectively managing risk on trading positions.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • CFA candidacy or a Master's degree ideal.
  • Solid understanding of rates products, particularly ACGBs.
  • Experience trading across the suite of rates products.
