Career Opportunity for Clinical Nurses

This is a recruitment pool for fixed term or permanent appointments at various hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Clinical Nurses to join our team in Augusta. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a crucial role in managing, coordinating, and delivering high-standard nursing care to patients in emergency, general, and aged care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain competence as per national competency standards and registration requirements.
  • Deliver advanced nursing care, conducting thorough patient assessments and formulating comprehensive care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Coordinate team meetings to ensure safe and timely patient discharge and comprehensive aged care reviews.
  • Lead clinical handovers and safety huddles to promote a culture of safety and quality.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to enrolled nurses and unregulated workforce, ensuring appropriate delegation of tasks.
  • Engage in continuous safety and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to audits and reviews that enhance patient and staff experiences.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge in acute, emergency, and aged care settings.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with proven experience in team leadership and clinical escalation.
  • Strong background in quality improvement and risk management.
  • Competent in using technology to enhance patient care and communication.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements relevant to nursing practice.
